It was time to re-conduct the 'magical' reaction with shells and acid! After performing the procedure once again, I noticed that the shells were not as well dissolved as before!!:(
This might have been due to the larger initial mass of the shells. However, the trend in my observations remained the same. The shell with 2M HCl dissolved faster than the rest. It was followed by 1M HCl, Coke, vinegar, and finally, water.
